In the wsesettings.ini file (should now be in the main Warband folder), one of the first lines should be: Replace with your Windows user name (go to C:\Users to check it).

Have 2 or 3 extra horses in your inventory (I'm not sure if this actually make you go faster). Download Battle Time and go through installations steps.
Have more mounted units than infantry This can be expensive, but an army with many cavalry units will travel faster than an army with lots of infantry units. Increase your Pathfinding skill It will make you go faster in the map. The game offers a whole load of amazing weapons all based up on the character you select along with all the special. If your Athletics skill is 4 and your Riding skill is 3, you will go faster on foot than on a horse in the map. Increase your Athletics or Riding skills You can go faster in a horse with a high Riding skill, or faster on foot with a high Athletics skill. Defensive siege AI is too stupid to leave their fortifications, except for a possible initial sally. Keeping a few extra horses in your inventory will increase your movement speed on the world map. You can put horses on your inventory and the effect will be reducted, but don't put too many horses or can end up going even slower than before. Trainer is the only skill that stacks, meaning that leveling it on all of your companions will level your army up incredibly fast.
Don't have many goods in your inventory Carrying lots of goodies will make you go slower. That's all I have for now, hope to see some more info soon regarding everything and not just buttons. Many players will go hours and hours playing Mount & Blade: Warband without realizing that you can speed up the map. If you don’t want the map to eat up a chunk of your playtime, then you are going to want to listen up. R2 Button: Fast foward-Probably my favorite feature while traveling, if you want to speed things up hold R2 and time will fly. The map in Mount & Blade: Warband moves at a brutally slow pace. Disband some units Sometimes you may have some units you don't actually need (like bandits), you can put 'em on a garrison or disband them, and you may gain some speed. Once you bring up your notes it's possible to control the pointer using the Touch Pad. Make sure your army has high morale, get food or win some battles to grow it up.
